Hey heyyyyyy,
Let's talk Italian restaurants for a minute..... This beautiful dish (pictured above) is from Olive Garden Italian Kitchen located in Florence, SC. They serve all things Italian from spaghetti with meatballs, different types of alfredo, lasagna, ravioli, chicken marsala, chicken parmigiana, etc. With every meal, prior to the entree, they also serve their amazing fresh, warm, garlic bread sticks and their famous house salad that comes served with their signature Italian dressing.
One thing that I love to do, is fill up on breadsticks and house salad before my food even comes out (and you'll learn why later). The salad is absolutely amazing and contains iceberg garden salad, red onions, tomatoes, croutons, olives, pepperoncini peppers and their Italian dressing. Their salads are so good and have such a peppery, savory taste, and whilst I do take out my red onions and olives, it is still absolutely amazing. Now, my favorite dish from Olive Garden is well known as Lasagna Fritta or "Fried lasagna". It is fired parmesan-breaded lasagna that comes topped with a pan-seared beef and Italian sausage meat sauce, plated on creamy alfredo. You can also get it topped with parmesan cheese, which is completely optional, but I always make sure to add parmesan cheese.
Normally, once I fill up on bread sticks and salad, I may eat, one or two of my fried lasagna, but I feel like they taste so much better as a leftover, when you can warm them up the next day at home. To me, I think they aren't as fresh or greasy being that they are normally fresh out of the oven (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). But, overall, to each its own, some people prefer right out of the oven, I prefer leftovers, but I say, don't knock until you try it!
The lasagna fritta is actually considered an appetizer, so I normally ask for it as my entree. The lasagna fritta typically cost about $11, so not bad. If you are interested in trying Italian food, especially something new, definitely try these, and maybe even actually get them as your appetizer.
Olive Garden also serves kid plates, gluten sensitive plates, catering options for larger parties, desserts, and different drinks including beer and wines. Overall, 10/10, highly recommend! Everybody should try these and let me know how you feel about it, especially, if you try them as a leftover!
