Hearsay Market Square: Appetizer Part 1

Not your average Egg Roll!!!!

Hearsay Market Square, located in Houston, Texas, is known for their flavorful dishes, sophisticated plating, and their chef's source of high-end and fresh products. They create the opportunity for fine dining in a casual atmosphere with the option to have bar, indoor, or outdoor seating. As one of Houston's oldest buildings, it shows "chic antique" by showcasing its historic architectural features such as their handmade brick and polished wood bar while having chic decor such as the chandeliers or the backgrounds of each table. It provides the perfect environment for everyone whether you want to dress up or dress down to enjoy either their brunch, lunch or dinner menu.

The customer service was absolutely amazing, they laughed and welcomed us in with open arms. They made sure we knew all of the specials they had going and also helped us with the decision-making process in regard to what to order by giving us recommendations. One of the ladies who worked there also sent us a list of things to do and places to eat while we were in Houston, which was very useful, and two of the servers even stayed around to engage in a nice conversation with us, which definitely made the experience even better.

My best friend and I went to Hearsay for Brunch and enjoyed some of everything they had to offer. We started off with appetizers and one of the appetizers we tried were the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls.

Before I say anything about the food, let me just say that everything in Texas is truly bigger and better and the food was all great, especially Hearsay. So, I can just go ahead and say, I highly recommend because I would go back in a heartbeat, lol.

Now, let's talk Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, which was smoked brisket, bell pepper, and cheddar rolled together topped with sweet chili sauce and served with honey mustard dipping sauce. The smoked brisket was cooked perfectly, nicely flavored, fresh and definitely high-end because it wasn't tough and was finely shredded. The brisket worked perfectly with the bell peppers and cheddar and paired even better with the sweet chili sauce. It was great without the sauce, but when you are looking for that extra "umph" in anything, the sauce was exactly what the rolls needed. Now, I'm not a big fan of honey mustard at all, but for the experience, I tried it, and honestly, it wasn't bad, it wasn't overpowering, it paired well with every part of the rolls. I was surprised when I actually tried the honey mustard more than once, however, I could still enjoy this dish without it, that's just how good these rolls were.

Overall, I would say 10/10, highly recommend, if you do decide to go Hearsay Market Square, I definitely recommend this dish.
