The name alone was very intriguing and definitely drew me in, because what is this about, it just didn't add up to me, lol.
Fat Cat Creamery is an ice cream parlor that offers "handcrafted unique small batch ice cream with local ingredients", including their eggs that are delivered twice a week by Ole Dad Farms. Their ice cream pints and single-serve packaging are made of leftover wheat straw and are compostable and the spoons are also environmentally friendly material being made of bioplastics. What started off in their personal kitchen, switched over to the kitchen of this amazing business.
Now, the fact that everyone has been waiting on, why "Fat Cat Creamery", the usage of the word cat refers to the amazing employees who care about the company just as much as the person who made it. Since they make every batch of ice cream and topping from scratch, the dedication from each individual is not only needed but appreciated because the business has definitely made its way from a personal kitchen.
Just for the experience, I tried the "Cat's Meow Mexican Vanilla" which is made with pure Mexican Vanilla. This soft serve ice cream was soooo smooth, so refreshing, so tasty, so sweet, just so amazing. It was so good, I wish I had tried the other flavors they offered such as the Milk chocolate stout or the Waterloo Strawberry Buttermilk which are both a few of their signature flavours. Though I didn't get any toppings, a few of their toppings options included hot fudge, graham cookie crumbles, toasted coconut, toasted pecans, cone bits, meringue kisses, etc.
For those that cannot or prefer not to have dairy products, that also offer dairy free flavours such as the Chai Tea Coconut which consisted of chai tea and cinnamon steeped in a coconut milk ice cream; another one of their signature dishes.
They also a nice variety of seasonal flavours such as Salted Butter Caramel, Raspberry Beret Sorbet (dairy-free), Whiskey Butter Pecan, Birthday Cake, Bourbon Pecan Pie, and Bunny Bait, just to name a few. They also serve milkshakes, Push-up pops, sundaes, Ice cream "sammies", etc.
Overall, definitely a 10/10, highly recommend, would go back in a heartbeat and I would definitely recommend you all to go try this ice cream, they are definitely "Cats" that care!
