It's always that one food item that just does something to you....
This lovely dish pictured above is the amazing meatball sandwich with fries! That sounds so special right?!
I know it's a very simple dish, however, you can never go wrong with simplicity. This meatball sandwich came served fresh and hot, covered in marinara sauce, parmesan cream, and ricotta cheese on an Italian bun. This sandwich also came served with a side of very tasty standard cut French fries. The entire meal is made fresh at the time of ordering and can be found served at the sandwich bar on the "Lido" deck (the top deck of the cruise ship where swimming pools, bars and eateries can be found). Whenever the eateries are open, you can just keep eating as much as you would like. These eateries also give you another option as opposed to going to the casual or formal dinners, and they also give you a bigger variety to choose from while not being tied down to a table; you simply get your food and go... either to a table on the lido deck or your room, either way, you will always have options for great food.
It's safe to say this meatball sandwich definitely caught my interest within the first bite. And ever since that first bite, I was trying to get one of these sandwiches every single day of the cruise. However, they have multiple types of food you can enjoy so some lines may be longer than others, and with the amount of people a cruise ship can hold, you'll never catch the same line short every day. With that being said, I didn't eat one every day and I was very happy about it because it allowed me to try other things.
Overall, I would rate this sandwich a 10/10, highly recommend. If you ever travel with carnival cruise lines, make sure this is on your list of things to try, if this may be something you are interested in.
