Coach's Neighborhood Grill- An Experience! Part 2

Hey Heyyy....

So, if you missed out on the service experience I had at Coach's Neighborhood Grill, please visit the most recent blog ("Coach's Neighborhood Grill- An Experience! Part 1") to see how that went before reading about the food.

However, if you have read the previous blog, then let's continue the story and talk about the tasty food provided by Coach's Neighborhood Grill. They are an American cuisine location that serves just about everything you can think of, from fried pickles, pretzel bites, shrimp, wings and salads to burgers, salmon, chicken, sandwiches, pasta, and steak.

If you read the previous blog, then you already know what I just had to try, because my brothers definitely did an amazing job promoting them.... (Obviously, if you haven't read the previous blog, what are you waiting on, lol). My brothers kept telling me the pasta and the ribs were the best, but they just had to HAVE the ribs. So, since my brother was going to order the ribs, being the sister that I am, I decided to try some of his ribs but order the pasta for myself.

I ordered the New Orleans Pasta that also comes served with a garden salad and garlic breadsticks! I don't know what to talk about first it was all so amazing, but the breadsticks were super fresh, nice and fluffy, and very flavorful. It had more of a light garlic taste with a sweet after taste in my opinion, but that made me enjoy them that much more. Now, as for the pasta, HEAR ME WHEN I SAY, this New Orleans pasta was absolutely amazing! This pasta comes served with smoked sausage, Cajun chicken and shrimp with green peppers, onions, parmesan cheese, all covered in a creamy alfredo.

If you have been following my blogs, then by now you should know, I did order this pasta without onions. Which means, nothing because it was still amazing without the onions, but I will say that this dish is definitely packed with some heat, in other words, it definitely has some spiciness with each bite. Safe to say, if you aren't a fan favorite of spicy foods at all, I would not recommend this dish.

But the flavors inside of this dish, are just so indescribable. Every single thing in this pasta, from the meats to the penne pasta to the sauce, had such great flavors, and they all had a touch of spicy, which I loved. The penne pasta was cooked nicely, it was soft and also packed with a lot of flavors in each bite, and you can tell that it must have been settled in the alfredo because the sauce had also begun to settle inside the pasta noodles. The chicken, shrimp, and sausages were all cooked perfectly, nice and tender, nothing was over-cooked, and it was all plated nicely. And in regard to the alfredo sauce, sometimes when you go places, you have to worry about ordering an extra cup of sauce, or you have to do a lot of mixing because all of the sauce has fallen to the bottom of the dish. Well at Coach's, the sauce is right there waiting on you to be eaten, they make sure your dish does not dry out. Even for the next day, the portion was such a nice size, I had to take some to go, and even then, the sauce did not dry out and was still very thick.

Now, I did say I was going to try the ribs off of my brothers' plate, so that's exactly what I did. BABBBYYYYYY, when I tell you those ribs were so good, and I do mean "finger, lickin' good", they were absolutely amazing. I couldn't even put into words how good these ribs are; you literally pick one up and all of the meat falls off the bone. The ribs were perfectly seasoned, and it definitely had that smokey flavor, which was perfectly paired with the sauce. This dish is called the Baby Back Ribs, which is one of coach's signature items, the ribs are slow roasted and grilled and then tossed with sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce (which is my favorite). Typically, it is served as a half rack, but you can add a second rack for an additional fee. This dish also comes served with two sides, and as pictured above, my brother chose their baked beans and broccoli and cheese. I did try the baked beans, which were absolutely amazing, it had a nice sweet and savory flavor to it, even though I didn't particularly care for all of the onions, and I didn't try the broccoli and cheese, I know, shame on me. However, I did try to go back for some more ribs off of my brothers' plate, he definitely was not having it, which was really saddening for me.

For drinks I got a strawberry lemonade, they serve Pepsi products along with sweet and unsweet tea, regular lemonade and Cheerwine. They do also have alcoholic beverages that you can order and they do have a bar that you can go to.

The prices for the pasta and rib plate together were approximately $40, (that estimate is including the additional half rack of ribs), which I feel was a nice price for everything because you do get your money's worth. Overall, this place is absolutely incredible, amazing atmosphere, amazing people, and of course amazing food! They do have multiple locations including Asheboro, Cheraw, Lexington, Sanford, etc. Overall, I would highly recommend this eatery, especially this location, you just have to try it for yourself!!!!
