Chicken & Waffles is definitely a thing!

I guess I didn't realize how much chicken and waffles I actually ate during this trip, lol. That should tell you everything you need to know right there, their chicken and waffles in Houston, Texas is obviously amazing! But let's talk a different way of putting chicken and waffles together...

Let's talk THE WAFFLE BUS.... This amazing place is everything waffles, waffle fries, waffle chicken sandwiches, waffle burgers, etc. So, yes, literally everything waffles! The waffle bus was such an experience, it's a nicely decorated building that was super busy during the time we were there. Which was about 12-1230 pm CST, so lunch hour, but to say it was so busy, they moved the lines really fast, and still gave us amazing customer service, even down to the point of giving us recommendations. Once the orders were placed at the register we were told to step to the side and wait on our orders if it was take-out, or we could pick a table if we were eating in. We did decide to eat in, which we stated during the ordering process, so they gave us number cards and brought the food to us. They have this beautiful and very creative bus decoration where the window of the bus is from the kitchen and that's where you pick up your food, which was a nice touch being that it is called "The Waffle Bus".

The food was just as creative as the decorations inside the building. The first order we tried was the buttermilk fried chicken and waffle sandwich with buffalo ranch sauce. Now, chicken and waffles... okay... chicken and buffalo ranch sauce... okay.... chicken, buffalo ranch sauce and a waffle... that would make anyone hesitant. However, it was AMAZING, the buttermilk fried chicken was so juicy, flavorful, moist and it literally just fell apart in my hands. The waffle was so good, it was super fluffy, baked to a golden-brown and was the perfect middle of thick and thin. Surprisingly, the buffalo ranch sauce paired perfectly on the sandwich, it wasn't overwhelming, and the softness of the waffle and the tenderness of the chicken paired perfectly together making it such a great sandwich. I also loved the trays the food was served on, it completely fit the entire mood and decor of the entire business.

Overall, I would 10/10, highly recommend everyone try this place, the food was so good. I wouldn't recommend going during lunch hour, but again, they moved really fast. Make sure to try this amazing sandwich, it is so worth it, price and experience wise!
