A good vacation always involves good food....
You can never take a vacation and not eat or try new foods, that is just a part of a vacation as a whole. Some say the rule is to go on vacation and not eat at the same places you can eat at in your hometown.... I'd like to agree!
A few things I tried in the Cayman Islands were their amazing chocolate, soft and very fresh rum cake. It was very sweet and to me, it tasted just like "Devil's food" cake, but it was so good. If you have never had rum cake, due to the baking process, it can't necessarily get you drunk, so while it holds the name "Rum" cake, its yet another flavor to add to a cake to make it great!
I also tried a Caribbean beef patty, which was absolutely indescribably amazing! The dough had such a great texture, wasn't super hard, wasn't super soft, but just right, nice, fresh, and flaky. The beef on the inside was cooked perfectly, it contained all the right spices which blended well together. It provided a spicy overall taste that would be right for the person who doesn't like a lot of spice and also the person who loves spice! It was so good, I now look for a beef patty from any Caribbean restaurant I go to no matter what dish I actually order, I highly recommend you all try this!
The last thing I tried was a "FRUTA" which was a Caribbean real fruit juice that contains a mixture of guava and pineapple. It was very refreshing and had a perfect blend of the fruits. Most of the time with blended drinks, one is normally more overpowering compared to the other, and surprisingly, that was not the case, so I say try it!
Overall, everything was so amazing, and I would recommend everything!
