A cheesy delight!!!

Let's talk Pizza!!!!!

There are a lot of similar places when it comes to food, but no two places taste alike, which is the fun in trying foods. This is especially true, when it comes to pizza, there are so many places that you can get pizza but yet, still have it served to you in so many ways.

Hungry Howie's, a popular pizza place, well-known for their flavored crusts (including Cajun, sesame, onion, ranch, etc.), was absolutely amazing. While they have multiple locations, this particular location was located in Charlotte, NC. It was a very nice location for this particular one we visited; it was situated in a nice area surrounded by other food options along with a grocery store; which can be very convenient.

The customer service was fairly decent, they did speak when we entered, but other than that there weren't any further questions as far as "How can I help you?". We did try to engage in conversation, as this was our first time visiting a Hungry Howie location, so we asked if there was anything they could recommend the answer was "Everything is pretty good" in a rushed way as if she didn't want to be at work... The only time the cashier spoke again was to ask if we needed anything else and she did at least inform us about the ticket numbers for when the food was ready.

Outside of the customer service, the food was absolutely incredible! Hungry Howie's sells many different things such as pizza, oven baked subs, breads, wings, salads, etc. Everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious which made the decision extremely hard to choose from. However, I ended up trying the Junior (8") pizza and a regular chicken bacon ranch sub. Let me just tell everyone.... they were both sooooooo mouth-watering, just the smell and the freshness of all of the ingredients would make anyone instantly want some of Hungry Howie's.

The Subs are sold in two sizes: regular or Large, I chose the regular since I was just trying it. However, the regular was just enough for me, not including the pizza, If I had to, I would say it is the equivalent portion size of getting a big mac from Mcdonald's. But Hungry Howie's is definitely right about their flavored crust, because even on the subs, it was so good, coated in a garlic herb flavoring. The chicken bacon ranch sub is exactly what it sounds like, grilled chicken breast, bacon, mozzarella, and ranch dressing, cooked together inside of this amazing crust. The blend of everything was absolutely delightful, especially the blend of the melted cheese and ranch; definitely one of those mixtures that you didn't know you needed, BUT YOU DO! I decided to just eat my pizza the first day and 1/3 of my sub, but even the next day the taste and texture were still great!

The pizzas are served in eight sizes (Jr., small, medium, large, etc.), I chose the junior because again, I was just trying it. The junior sized pizza is cut into fours much like a personal pan from anywhere else as far as pizza places. I decided to stick with the garlic herb flavored crust again and ordered a regular mozzarella cheese pizza. It was served fresh, nice and fluffy, with just the right amount of crisp to the crust with a pretty brown glazed look. Everything worked perfectly together, no one ingredient was more overwhelming than the next which made it so flavorful.

Overall, the food at Hungry Howie's was wayyyy too good, and I would rate the food a 10/10, highly recommend! Hopefully, when/if you decide to try it, the customer service is a lot better, but overall, the food is still amazing and worth trying. They do also serve veggie options for both pizzas and subs, they also sell drinks, but I was really wanting a strawberry hi-c from Zaxbys which was in the same area. Also, the prices are nice and well worth it, I don't think I spent more than $20 for the items I purchased, so definitely try it.
